QUIET RECUPERATION

THURSDAY 16th JUNE

Got up for breakfast about 10.30am and had the whole works, eggs, sausage, bacon, hash brown and tomato, then took it easy for the rest of the morning. The sun was threatening to break through the clouds and it was pretty warm.  I had a rest in a hammock for a while, and then in the afternoon we walked up to the Bamboo for a sandwich and a fresh passion fruit juice.  Enroute we returned the empty beer bottles at our cocktail bar.

On the way home purchased coach tickets for Saturday night.  The coach leaves town at 9.45pm, not 11pm as I think I stated earlier.

                                  Two views of downtown Canoa.
Jenny phoned from France on Skype and spoke to both of us with Chris also making a fleetting appearance. The clouds thickened in the afternoon and the temperature fell a bit.  Blogging and reading took up most of the rest of the day, apart that is from our curry dinner at the Baloo.  We were fairly temperate today, only having one large beer each.  Alex is going out with the fishermen at 8.00am tomorrow, so an early night all round.
The bar and dining area viewed from our sleeping quarters.
