It was a quiet morning recovering from last night's drinking, until Jane came over to pick us up and take us to the Maquarie Shopping Centre, where we took charge of young Nick. We went to Big W where
Nick had a good look around, whilst Jane went off to honour her commitments. Nick picked out a pack of cards he wanted but I reckoned that they were the same as he already had. He was insistent that each pack had different cards. After extensive inquiries with the shop staff, we were eventually told that not all the packs contained the same cards, so I duly purchased them. We then went off to get something to eat whilst Nick enjoyed an ice cream.
After that we went to the top floor where the cinema complex is located to see Megamind, armed with a tub of popcorn. It was quite an enjoyable film, although I must confess that I did briefly nod off, a fact that did not go unnoticed by Nick! We then sat outside waiting for Jane to return, whilst Mark and Nick played with cards I had purchased in Big W. Jane duly turned up after a while and we all trundled off to the indoor centre in Epping where Nick had his last football match of the year. It was an entertaining game that ended up at 3-3 with Nick scoring one of the goals and putting in a good performance. The team then came out to be de-briefed by the coach and assistant coach, one of whom was Jane.
We parted company with Jane and Nick with Rob taking Mark and myself to the Eastwood, where the cheap meal on Mondays is a steak and chips, which we all indulged in. This was followed by a few beers, a quick call at the bottle shop where Mark purchased a couple of bottles and a return home.
