ROUND THE CAPE

Tuesday 9th November had a good night's sleep before going for a leisurely breakfast at Sofia's where I discovered they did a breakfast special which also includes a coffee in the price for 25 Rand.  And the it was off on a trip around the Cape peninsula. One of the irst areas passed was Hout Bay, having gone past a shanty town on the way out of Cape Town.
Housing is being built to re-house all the inhabitants of these shanty towns and good pogress is taking place.  We then drove up the Chapman Highway, a spectacular coast road along the Atlantic face of the penninsula.  We then got to Scarborough which is heavily populated by baboons.

Reminds me of somebody - just can't put my finger on whom!
Apparently residents must remember to fasten all windows shut otherwise they are liable to come home to an empty fridge and the house trashed.  Well if you have had kids you know the feeling!  We were now headed for the Cape and the southernmost point of South West Africa (albeit not South Africa).
